-
Your tent needs space to breathe. We’ll require the footprint of the tent itself, plus about 2 metres around the edges so we can safely anchor it.
-
Our team delivers the tents using a 4WD ute and a long trailer.
-
We normally allow half a day to set up and another half day to pack down. We’ll work out all the details with you ahead of time so everything runs smoothly.
-
No. Our tents need soft ground like grass or earth so we can drive in our 1m-long pegs. Sand just won’t hold the structure safely and we can’t peg into concrete.
-
Yes! You can use gas heaters, prior approval is required and guidance from our crew on install on where to place them towards the centre where the canopy is highest. This way, everyone stays warm and the tent stays safe.
-
We typically install 1–2 days prior to your event, with pack-down scheduled for the following weekday. Final timings are confirmed closer to the date based on our schedule.
-
Mostly, yes. Our tents rely on even tension and deep anchoring, so the ground should be fairly level. A gentle slope is usually fine, but steep or uneven sites may need extra review. The easiest way to check? Send us photos of your site. That way, we can quickly advise whether it’s suitable or whether we need a closer look. If we are still unknown we can complete a site visit on a case by case basis.
-
Your stunning tent.
Clear WeatherShield side walls — installed rolled up and ready to be lowered if needed.
A beautiful fairy lighting package for inside your tent — warm white commercial fairy lights strung from the main centre poles out to the perimeter poles.
-
We generally install your tent 1–2 days before your event.
-
We get it — couples often worry about choosing something too small or unnecessarily large. We always include a few popular floor plan options for the tent size we recommend, so you can visualise the layout and choose what feels best. Guest numbers and your event style (cocktail vs seated) help guide the final decision.
-
Before we quote, we’ll chat through site logistics — from access for the crew to ground level and slope. A reasonably flat space is ideal so that furniture sits level and your guest experience is comfortable. We’ll also discuss spacing around the tent for things like caterers, bathrooms, and styling.
-
We love a sentimental story... but if your favourite jacaranda is in the middle of the lawn, we probably can’t build around it! Our tents require clearance for safety and symmetry, so we’ll always walk you through what’s realistically possible.
-
Sperry Tents are weather-ready — and with some planning, rain doesn’t have to be a stress. We often recommend choosing a slightly larger tent if your wedding is in a rainy season. That way, guests stay further from the edges and the space feels cosy, even with sidewalls down. It’s all about smart layout and comfort.

Both! We love working with planners — it helps everything flow seamlessly — but are just as happy guiding couples through the process directly.
If you’ve booked a planner, let us know and we’ll work closely with them. If not, we’ll make it feel easy and clear from day one. -
Depending on your site, we may offer a complimentary site visit, especially for private property installs.
We’ll also provide basic layout floorplans and can share inspo galleries or previous event photos to help visualise the space. -
Most installs take 3–6 hours, depending on your tent size and add-ons.
We aim to set up before your stylist or florist arrives to avoid overlap and make the setup day stress-free. -
Sperry Tents offer a luxury marquee experience — in both form and function.
The sailcloth fabric is breathable and diffuses light beautifully
Wooden poles, flags, and gentle peaks add softness and charm
Open sides maintain the view, airflow, and atmosphere
This isn’t your standard white PVC box. It’s a premium space that feels warm, natural, and inviting.
-
Nope! We have smaller round tents that are perfect for elopements or intimate events. No minimums here — just good design for the guest list you love.
-
Turf is ideal — it’s soft, secure, and visually seamless.
Gentle slopes are usually fine, but we may recommend a levelled timber flooring system for steeper sites to keep everything stable and stylish.
Concrete, rock, or hard surfaces are generally not suitable.
We’ll also need to know about underground services (like septic or power) before installing.
-
We do offer:
Dance floors
Rustic timber tables and benches (in limited numbers)
Woven flooring for barefoot comfort
We also work closely with trusted planners and stylists who can source the perfect extras for your event.
-
Lighting is included inside the tent, and we’ll talk you through the best setup.
You’ll need access to at least one 10amp power point — or we can arrange a small generator if needed. -
We leave that to your planner or venue manager. If you’re working with a planner, they’ll usually handle any paperwork or approvals required by your council.
